A Proudly Local Story

The Penthouse Hotel & Restaurant was opened in 1991 by former First Lady Dilbuked Christina “Tina” Salii.

Her original vision was to create a welcoming home away from home for local friends, family and visitors from across Micronesia and the wider Pacific.

Family-Run Hospitality

When the hotel first opened, Tina managed almost every part of the operation herself, from cooking and serving meals to reception, reservations and cleaning.

As the business grew, sisters, relatives and close friends joined the team. Today, the hotel continues to be supported by Tina’s children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, together with long-serving employees.
