Blue Lagoon Dive Shop

Blue Lagoon Dive Shop was Chuuk’s first dive operation and remains one of the lagoon’s most experienced diving centres.

Its qualified Chuukese guides possess extensive knowledge of the region’s coral-covered World War II wrecks. Air, Nitrox, Trimix and mixed gas are available for recreational, technical and closed-circuit rebreather divers.

The dive shop also offers souvenir shirts, caps and other apparel.

The Legacy of Kimiuo Aisek

Blue Lagoon Dive Shop was founded by the late Kimiuo Aisek, a pioneering Chuukese diver who introduced generations of visitors, journalists and television crews to the historic wrecks of Truk Lagoon.

Known as “Micronesia’s Ambassador”, he was the first Micronesian inducted into the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. His family continues his legacy through the resort and dive operation.

The Kimiuo Aisek Memorial Museum, opened on the resort grounds in September 2014, honours his life and contribution to diving in Chuuk.
